More of Alex

Mums and Alex

Pops and Alex

Alexander Riley

Baby boy is here!! He is so sweet and a very good baby! He weighed 7.14, a little more than Ella, and as 20 and half inches long, a little shorter than Ella. It was a very short labor so the dr was worried he would go into respiratory distress but everything turned out to be fine. He had a little bruising on his face but he is such a handsome little man, just like his daddy! Mommy is doing well. Epidural wasn't too effective but she's recovering. Ella is so happy he's here and is already trying to be a little mommy.

He's here!!

Waiting for Alex..

Tonight is a full moon so hopefully baby boy Binkley will decide to make an appearance (We still don't have a name for him)! I'm a little scared about being induced because I've heard nothing but horror stories about it. Here's hoping there's some truth to the Old Wive's Tale!!

4th of July!!!

We hope everyone had a fun weekend! Since it was our last weekend with Ella before the new baby gets here we wanted to do something special. My feet were too swollen to walk around too much but we drove around Nashville, went on a picnic and watched a few firework shows from the top of a mountain. We had alot of fun but I decided that I never ever want to be pregnant in the summer again!

We really went to Greece for the weekend.. yeah right. This is an exact replica of the Parthenon in Downtown Nashville. Who wouldv'e thought there would be something like this in Nashville? Cowboys and country singers yes, but nothing like this. A little unexpected.

Since our move, we have been too busy to update our blog. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks. We're finally getting settled in but I'm being induced on Friday so... it might be a while before it gets updated again!

This is after her Big Brother Big Sister class we went to at the hospital. She got a t-shirt and a future nurse hat. She had so much fun! She loved playing with the other kids and seeing all the little babies in the nursery.

For those of you who don't know, we are relocating to TN for Brett's job in less than a week in a half. We're really excited! Brett has been working out of town since November and it will be nice to be together as a family again, not just for short weekends. We are really going to miss FL. It will be hard being so far away from the beach. Luckily, before all the rain came, we went to the beach for the afternoon. I think it is supposed to rain for the next week and a half, so it might have been our last trip for a little while. Ella was too busy playing to have her picture taken.

Lately I have been sooo worn out with everything going on that I have been trying to bribe Ella to help me around the house. I told her that if she picked up her toys and helped Mommy during the day, I would give her a quarter every night and she could buy a treat at the end of the week with the money she earns. The first day she did really good and was my big helper. Yesterday, I guess she decided it was too much so she found our extra change bowl in our room and took all the money out of it and put it in her sheep bank. The lesson learned is bribery doesn't work. At least not for my child.

These are a few pictures from Easter. I don't know why I even blog. I can never keep up with it. Between pregancy, finding a place in TN, finding a renter here, packing and Brett being gone, there's just no time to blog.

The past three years...

I'm not a big fan of country music, but have you ever heard the song "You're gonna miss this"? That is my theme song. It seems like time is just clicking by. Some days we look forward to retirement and when our kids are grown so we can travel around the world and do things we can't do with kids. Other days I wish time would just stop so I can have Ella at this age forever. I am so excited about the new baby coming but I am really going to miss my time with just Ella. She is so much fun! I can't believe how big she is! I am in total amazement of how much happiness motherhood can bring!!

Happy Birthday Ella!!

Ella turned 3 last week! I can't believe it. The past three years have gone by so fast! We had a little party with just the three of us on the weekend. Brett was able to come home so we wanted to keep it just the three of us. On her birthday I took her to Chuck E. Cheeses with a friend. She had so much fun! It was our first Chuck E. Cheese experience and once a year will be enough for me. Here are some pictures from our party!

Well, the Binkley's are having a boy! I really thought we were having a girl but I was really wrong. We are very excited! I already had a name picked out if it was a girl so I better think of a name for a boy. Boys names are so hard!! Brett has been working out of town and wasn't able to go with me to my ultrasound so my mom and sister in law went with me while my dad and the all the kids waited in the car. It was such a wonderful experience. I really missed Brett but was really happy my mom and Aimee could be with me. It was a really special time for us. My sister in law is an ultrasound tech in Atlanta and gave the sex of the baby away before the ultrasound tech at the hospital could tell us. No pictures to post, but it's definately a boy!

Ella is getting ready to be a big sister already. She took off her Cabbage Patch baby's clothes, put it in her old infant tub and then but it in our bathtub. She would not let me take the baby out. It was so cute I had to take a picture. Ella is going to be such a great big sister and mommy's helper. Good thing our tub was clean!
